EasyPark has confirmed it was hit in a cyberattack that saw customer data breached and revealed online.
The company, which runs apps to help people find parking spots, said in an alert to customers that it discovered the breach on December 10 2023.
According to BleepingComputer, the announcement did not hold any details about what exactly happened, or how many people were affected. However, a company spokesperson told the publication that a “portion of European users” were affected, which should mean the incident is contained mostly within the EasyPark app.
Staying vigilant
Depending on what information the users provided the platform with, the hackers stole some, or all, of the following data entries: names, phone numbers, physical addresses, email addresses, and some digits of their credit card/debit card or IBAN.
While “some digits of a credit card” were stolen, the company claims the hackers don’t have enough data to make unauthorized transactions or wire fraud. However, the threat actors will have enough information on EasyPark users to mount phishing attacks, identity theft, or similar, so caution is advised, especially when receiving messages claiming to be coming from the company. Users are also advised to reset their account passwords and update their login credentials on all other platforms where they may have used the same username/password combination.
Impacted individuals will be notified through the EasyPark app, email, and SMS, the company further explained. “If you want to know if you are affected, please open the app,” it said. At the time of press, EasyPark continues to operate normally. The company is currently working on strengthening its security standing and has notified the police in Sweden, the UK, and Switzerland.
At the moment, no hacking group has claimed responsibility for the attack, nor asked for payment in exchange for the data.
Samsung is working on a smart fridge with AI capabilities which the company is planning to launch in 2024. The South Korean tech giant is planning to unveil the AI-enabled fridge at CES 2024 that will be equipped with some interesting features. In a blog post, Samsung claims that the upcoming refrigerator will include an internal camera that can identify individual food items. The company will also launch a connected app that will be able to suggest recipes based on what users have in stock. With the 2024 Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub+, users can mirror the display of their Galaxy phones to the 32-inch Family Hub touchscreen. The display on the fridge will even have separate apps for TikTok and YouTube videos. Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator 2024: New AI features To compare, the internal camera or the Family Hub app integration was also available in the 2023 model which also included an AI-powered camera and could generate recipes. However, the 2024 model is being upgraded with more features. The Samsung Food app (which users can access directly on the fridge via the Family Hub) can connect to their Samsung Health profile and create recipes based on their dietary needs.
The upcoming smart fridge also includes an “Image to Recipe” feature (which works better with Vision AI) that can recognise meals and food items from photographs and generate recipes. The 2024 model also has a customisation feature that will tailor recipes according to various dietary preferences. This includes gluten-free, pescatarian, dairy-free, vegan, fusion and others.
Users can also manually enter expiration dates of different food items on the Family Hub touchscreen. The fridge will also post notifications on the app just before individual items expire. However, the upcoming model still has some limitations. For example, Samsung says that its Vision AI feature can identify up to 33 food items. So, users shouldn’t expect the system to identify exotic food items.
The smartphone camera sensor market is mostly dominated by Sony and Samsung. However, in this market, the South Korean tech giant is still behind the Japanese company. According to a report by Counterpoint Research, Sony dominates the image sensor market with a market share of 54%. Samsung has a 29% share of the market, while SK Hynix barely managed to enter the top-five rankings with a 5% market share.Samsung is now reportedly planning to use AI to take on its Japanese rival. The company is now trying to develop and launch mobile camera sensors with on-device AI capabilities. How Samsung may add AI to its smartphone camera sensors According to a report by Business Korea, Samsung is adding AI into its camera image sensor business. Earlier this year, the South Korean firm unveiled its third 200MP camera sensor. At this time, the company announced the Zoom Anyplace technology, which is powered by AI. Samsung’s Zoom Anyplace technology offers simultaneous 4K video recording of the full frame and a zoomed-in part of that frame. Apart from this, the company is also planning to incorporate even more AI features into its camera sensors. The long-term business plan of Samsung is to create sensors that can replicate human senses. By 2027, the company’s roadmap includes the development of camera sensors that can capture even invisible things by 2027, the report notes.
Samsung’s System LSI President Park Yong-in recently talked about focusing on the goal of leading the ‘Proactive AI’ era. This includes mastering Generative AI, high-performance algorithms and technologies as well as long-range communication solutions.
SK Hynix has also revealed that it is incorporating an AI processing chip into its camera sensors. This technology will lower the latency and improve image quality while reducing power consumption. The company has been using an AI accelerator in the image sensor to test features like face and object recognition. As the demand from autonomous cars, IoT, robotics, and XR (Extended Reality) devices increased, the camera sensor market has returned to the growth phase after the pandemic.
Google Cloud has patched a vulnerability that may have allowed malicious actors with access to a Kubernetes cluster to elevate their privileges and wreak havoc.
“An attacker who has compromised the Fluent Bit logging container could combine that access with high privileges required by Anthos Service Mesh (on clusters that have enabled it) to escalate privileges in the cluster,” the company said in an advisory.
“The issues with Fluent Bit and Anthos Service Mesh have been mitigated and fixes are now available. These vulnerabilities are not exploitable on their own in GKE and require an initial compromise.”
Data theft
Google also claims it found no evidence of the vulnerabilities being exploited in the wild.
As for the fixes, these are the versions of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Anthos Service Mesh (ASM) that are protected:
The vulnerability was first discovered by Unit 42, the cybersecurity arm of Palo Alto Networks, TheHackerNews reports. In its report, Unit 42 says the flaws could be used for data theft, the deployment of malicious pods, and disruption of the cluster’s operations. However, to make it work, the attacker needs to have a compromised Fluent Bit container in advance.
“GKE uses Fluent Bit to process logs for workloads running on clusters,” Google explains further. “Fluent Bit on GKE was also configured to collect logs for Cloud Run workloads. The volume mount configured to collect those logs gave Fluent Bit access to Kubernetes service account tokens for other Pods running on the node.”
In other words, a hacker could use a Kubernetes cluster with ASM enabled, and then use the ASM service account token to create a new pod with cluster-admin privileges, effectively escalating their privileges to the highest tier.
“The clusterrole-aggregation-controller (CRAC) service account is probably the leading candidate, as it can add arbitrary permissions to existing cluster roles,” security researcher Shaul Ben Hai said. “The attacker can update the cluster role bound to CRAC to possess all privileges.”
Merry Christmas, one and all, and a Happy New Year! 2024 looms large, but if you’re planning on spending the new year weekend glued firmly to the couch, then our pick of the best new movies and TV shows to stream should help you see out 2023 with a bang.
Leading the charge this weekend is Emerald Fennell’s controversial new thriller Saltburn, which recently landed on Prime Video following a headline-grabbing theatrical run. Elsewhere, Ncuti Gatwa makes his standalone debut as the titular Time Lord in Doctor Who: The Church on Ruby Road on Disney Plus, while a new Money Heist spin-off, Berlin, is now streaming on Netflix.
Below, we’ve rounded up the seven biggest new movies and TV shows to stream on Netflix, Prime Video, Max, and more this weekend.
Doctor Who: The Church on Ruby Road (Disney Plus, BBC iPlayer)
Ncuti Gatwa’s solo stint as The Doctor kicked off on Christmas Day, but if you missed the live broadcast, Doctor Who: The Church on Ruby Road is now streaming on Disney Plus in the US and BBC iPlayer in the UK.
This holiday special episode brings The Doctor’s newest companion, Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson), into the fray, and after a typically Whovian introduction, the pair find themselves on a mission to foil horde of baby-stealing goblins.
In the interest of avoiding spoilers, we’ll keep further plot details under wraps, but Doctor Who fans can rest assured that Gatwa’s first standalone spell as the titular Time Lord kicks things off with a bang.
Now available to stream on Disney Plus.
Saltburn (Prime Video)
After a surprisingly successful theatrical run, Emerald Fennell’s new movie, Saltburn, is streaming on Prime Video (it actually became available last weekend, but we couldn’t fit it in alongside our other recommendations!).
This Talented Mr. Ripley-style drama stars Barry Keoghan as Oliver Quick, an Oxford University student whose infatuation with wealthy collegemate Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi) leads to a summer of unbridled debauchery (we’ll let you discover the details for yourself).
Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant and Carey Mulligan also star in Saltburn, which critics have described as “an inconclusive class satire, but also great fun.” Might this one earn a spot on our list of the best Prime Video movies of 2023?
Now available to stream on Prime Video.
Berlin (Netflix)
Pedro Alonso reprises his role as the carefree, sophisticated and slightly psychotic Berlin (aka Andrés de Fonollosa) in Netflix’s latest Money Heist spin-off series, the aptly-titled Berlin.
This prequel to the streamer’s 2017 Spanish-language phenomenon – which also comes from original creator Álex Pina – finds Berlin in Paris as he and a masterful gang of thieves prepare to steal €44 million-worth of jewels in one night.
Pina himself says Berlin is “a trip through the golden age of the character, when he robbed around Europe crazy in love,” so it’s safe to expect a fair amount of tension, romance and humor from this new Netflix series.
Now available to stream on Netflix.
Pokémon Concierge (Netflix)
Pokémon fans, your time has come: a new stop-motion animated series, Pokémon Concierge, is now streaming on Netflix.
Set on a tropical island resort for Pokémon, this four-episode series centers on Haru, a new-in-the-job hotel concierge who welcomes and interacts with visiting Pokémon and their owners. But as she quickly discovers, caring for the likes of Pikachu, Eevee, Magikarp and Dragonite is no easy task.
Suffice to say, Pokémon Concierge – a collaborative project from The Pokémon Company and critically acclaimed Japanese animators dwarf studios – looks like the most creative Netflix project since Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, so new and old Pokémon fans should find plenty to enjoy here.
Now available to stream on Netflix.
Ricky Gervais: Armageddon (Netflix)
Ricky Gervais is an understandably divisive figure, but fans of the British comedian’s no-holds-barred style will be pleased to learn that his latest special, Armageddon, is now streaming on Netflix.
Per the show’s official synopsis, this “taboo-busting comedy special about the end of humanity” sees Ricky Gervais “dishing out controversial takes on political correctness and oversensitivity.” Standard Ricky Gervais fare, then.
Now available to stream on Netflix.
Hell Camp: Teen Nightmare (Netflix)
The first of two documentary picks on this week’s list is Hell Camp: Teen Nightmare on Netflix, which dives deep into the harrowing true story of an American “wilderness therapy camp” that promised to reform wayward teens.
Former military special forces officer Steve Cartisano established the Challenger Foundation in the Utah desert in the 1980s, charging $15,900 for its 63-day reform program. However, the foundation was soon shut down following multiple charges of child abuse and negligent homicide over the death of a 16-year-old girl.
So, what really happened in the desert? That’s what Hell Camp: Teen Nightmare promises to reveal – and it looks like it could be one of the best Netflix documentaries for some time.
Now available to stream on Netflix.
Oprah and The Color Purple Journey (Max)
A new, musical adaptation of The Color Purple is now playing in US theaters (the film releases in the UK on January 26), and Max subscribers can enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at its development this weekend in Oprah and The Color Purple Journey.
Narrated by Oprah herself – who played the role of Sophia in Steven Spielberg’s 1985 original movie and produced the new version – this feature-length film celebrates the enduring legacy of Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.
iPhone maker Apple has been promoting gaming on its devices in 2023. In a recent interview with Inverse, the company has offered an in-depth view at its work to turn the Mac into a powerful gaming platform. The interview comes as Apple has put major focus on gaming throughout the year on the Mac and iPhone. What Apple has to say to about gaming on Mac At the interview, Mac product marketing manager at Apple, Gordon Keppel said the company’s in-house silicon has helped in gaming related developments. Keppel said: “Apple silicon has changed all that. Now, every Mac that ships with Apple silicon can play AAA games pretty fantastically. Apple silicon has been transformative of our mainstream systems that got tremendous boosts in graphics with M1, M2, and now with M3.” Meanwhile, Leland Martin, a software marketing manager at Apple, added that Apple Silicon has also simplified the development process for gaming companies on the Mac.
Martin said: “If you look at the Mac lineup just a few years ago, there was a mix of both integrated and discrete GPUs. That can add complexity when you’re developing games. Because you have multiple different hardware permutations to consider. Today, we’ve effectively eliminated that completely with Apple silicon, creating a unified gaming platform now across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Once a game is designed for one platform, it’s a straightforward process to bring it to the other two. We’re seeing this play out with games like Resident Evil Village that launched first [on Mac] followed by iPhone and iPad.”
How Game Portal Toolkit can help game developers During the interview, Apple managers also said that the company has put a major focus on gaming across all of its platforms in 2023. This includes the latest devices including Macs and iPhone 15. For example, Apple launched the Game Porting Toolkit as part of macOS Sonoma. This toolkit makes it significantly easier for developers to bring games from other platforms to the Mac. In the interview, Martin explained how Apple has already seen a boost in interest from developers due to the Game Porting Toolkit. He said: “We’ve definitely seen interest from developers and publishers like Kojima Productions (Death Stranding: Director’s Cut coming out in early 2024) and Annapurna Interactive Games (Stray) on how to take advantage of both parts of the Game Porting Toolkit. When you download the toolkit, there’s really two parts to it. There’s that emulation environment and that’s helped demonstrate today’s game — you drop in an existing Windows game and see how well it could run on the Mac. The second part is the Metal shader converter and that’s there to help developers convert their tens of thousands of shader code into Metal. And they’ve praised how incredibly useful this is and how it’s saved them a bunch of time in their development timeline.”
Chinese online retailer JD.com has won an anti-monopoly lawsuit against its rival Alibaba. According to a report by the news agency Reuters, the High People’s Court of Beijing has ruled that Alibaba Group Holding Limited and its subsidiaries had abused China’s market dominance and has asked the company to pay one billion yuan (nearly $140 million). The Chinese court also noted that Alibaba adopted monopolistic practices known as “choosing one from two” that caused JD.com severe damages. JD.com took to its official WeChat account to publish a statement that read: “This ruling is not only a fair decision for JD’s resistance against the ‘choose one out of two’ monopoly, but a landmark moment in upholding market fairness and competition order through the rule of law. It will be a significant moment in China’s anti-monopoly legal process.” The report cites an Alibaba spokesperson saying they were aware of the ruling and “respect the court’s decision”. What is “choosing one from two” e-commerce practice in China Alibaba and JD.com, the two e-commerce giants in China had criticised each other for a practice called choosing one out of two. Under this practice, brands and merchants had been allegedly told that if they wanted to operate on either platform, they had to do it exclusively.
In 2021, Alibaba was fined a record $2.75 billion in an antitrust probe by Chinese regulators. The probe also stated that the company had abused the country’s market dominance.
Alibaba is also facing multiple lawsuits in the US. These lawsuits claim that the Chinese e-tailer allows merchants to sell fake products on its platforms. One such lawsuit alleges that several merchants were selling counterfeit versions of the popular children’s toy Squishmallows on Alibaba. The lawsuit also alleges that Alibaba knew about these fake products and helped the sellers to infringe on the original company’s copyrights and trademarks.
Apple’s first-ever mixed reality headset Vision Pro is speculated to be the company’s most-important product of the coming year. The AR/VR headset is reportedly in mass production and is expected to hit the shelves by “late January or early February 2024.” Rumours suggest that the Cupertino-based tech giant has already started working on the next-gen Vision Pro as well as an affordable version of the same. A new report claims that Apple is planning to use more advanced displays in the second-gen Vision Pro headset. How Apple is planning to improve Vision Pro’s display According to a report by The Elec, market research firm Omdia claims that Apple’s second-generation Vision Pro headset will feature more advanced micro-OLED displays that are likely to offer higher brightness and improved efficiency. In 2027, Apple is reportedly planning to upgrade the Vision Pro to an RGB OLEDoS display. This will be a notable improvement over the WOLED display with the colour filter that has been used in the first-generation model.
RGB OLEDoS technology produces light and colour directly from nearby RGB sub-pixels on a single layer. This puts an end to the need for a colour filter. This will result in the headset’s display to offer significantly higher brightness compared to WOLED. The colour filter OLEDoS ones depend on filtering white light through an RGB colour layer and are also markedly more efficient than WOLED and colour filter technology. Why Samsung is important for the improved displays The South Korea-based tech giant is currently the only company that is capable of supplying RGB OLEDoS displays. Currently, several firms are making MicroOLED panels with colour filters, but their production capacity is quite low. However, only the US-based firm eMagin makes RGB OLEDoS panels for military usage. Earlier this year, Samsung Display acquired eMagin. Apple may use one such OLEDoS panel for its next-generation Vision Pro headset. Samsung is also reportedly preparing higher production capacities and is expected to get orders from Apple in the coming years.
In a significant stride towards unravelling the mysteries of the cosmos, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is poised to launch the X-ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPoSat) on January 1. Representing India’s maiden dedicated polarimeter mission, XPoSat aims to explore the intricate dynamics of luminous astronomical X-ray sources thriving in extreme conditions.
Scheduled for liftoff at 9:10 AM, XPoSat will ride the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) into a low earth orbit. Carrying two cutting-edge payloads, this mission promises groundbreaking revelations that will augment our comprehension of the vast astronomical expanse.
The primary payload, POLIX (Polarimeter Instrument in X-rays), is designed to measure polarimetry parameters, including the degree and angle of polarisation, within the medium X-ray energy range. Complementing this, the second payload, XSPECT (X-ray Spectroscopy and Timing), will furnish crucial spectroscopic information.
The significance of this mission lies in its potential to provide transformative insights into the enigmatic emission mechanisms from celestial entities such as black holes, neutron stars, active galactic nuclei, and pulsar wind nebulae. These phenomena, rooted in complex physical processes, have long baffled scientists despite the invaluable data obtained from existing space observatories.
India’s XPoSat mission aims to capture the elusive degree and angle of polarisation, introducing two key elements to the process of unravelling these celestial puzzles. “The polarimetric observations, along with spectroscopic measurements, are expected to break the degeneracy of various theoretical models of astronomical emission processes. This would be the major direction of research from XPoSat by the Indian science community,” stated ISRO regarding the mission.
XPoSat Mission Objectives
1. Measurement of X-Ray polarisation in the energy band of 8-30 keV emanated from X-Ray sources.
2. Long-term spectral and temporal studies of cosmic X-Ray sources in the energy band of 0.8-15 keV.
With an anticipated mission life of approximately five years, the payloads aboard XPoSat will diligently observe X-ray sources during their transit through Earth’s shadow, particularly during the eclipse period.
XPoSat Payloads:
POLIX: An X-ray Polarimeter developed for astronomical observations in the energy band of 8-30 keV. This pioneering payload is a collaborative effort between the Raman Research Institute (RRI), Bengaluru, and the U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC). It marks the first payload in the medium X-ray energy band dedicated to polarimetry measurements.
XSPECT: An X-ray Spectroscopy and Timing payload aboard XPoSat, designed to provide rapid timing and excellent spectroscopic resolution in soft X-rays.
As India takes this momentous step into the celestial unknown, XPoSat stands poised to unravel the intricacies of the cosmos, offering a new frontier for scientific exploration and discovery.
– Announced in January 2023 – Filming due to begin in early 2024 – Production was delayed by Hollywood strikes – Main cast members set to return – No trailer or plot details release yet – Season 1 finale teases potential story threads – Showrunners have plans for four seasons
When will Wednesday season 2 debut on Netflix? Ordinarily, with the wildly popular horror-comedy series renewed for another outing in early 2023, it would be well on its way to being with us.
But 2023 wasn’t a normal year. Alongside many other movies and TV shows, production on Wednesday‘s sophomore year was delayed by the Hollywood writers and actors strikes. With welcome resolutions reached between all parties, though, filming will finally begin on one of the best Netflix shows‘ next installment in early 2024.
While we wait for news that principal photography has officially begun, there’s plenty of reading for you to do ahead of Wednesday‘s Netflix return. In this guide, you’ll find all of the hauntingly best information available about the kooky and likely spooky season 2, including our thoughts a potential release date, as well as any mysterious intel we have on cast and story details.
Full spoilers follow for Wednesday season 1. Potential spoilers are also discussed for its successor.

It was a long, somewhat uncomfortable wait for Netflix to *ahem* snap its fingers and renew Wednesday for another season. Indeed, we had to wait six weeks after season 1’s launch date (November 23, 2022) for Netflix to confirm Wednesday season 2 after the show’s record-breaking debut, which arrived via social media on January 6, 2023.
The question of an exact release date, though, still hangs in the balance. The writers and actors strikes caused delays to production across the board, but with the situation resolved, filming for Wednesday season 2 will get underway early next year.
Per Deadline, full production on season 2 is “tenatively slated for late April (2024)”. Although the show was previously slated to be filmed in Romania – like season 1 – season 2 will reportedly be relocating to Ireland.
In September, Variety also claimed Netflix is prioritizing work on Wednesday season 2 and Stranger Things season 5, which isn’t a surprise, given their immense popularity. With production seemingly set for April, then, it’s safer to assume we won’t see Wednesday season 2 until mid-2025 at the very earliest, though we wouldn’t rule out a frighteningly good late 2025 launch instead.
Wednesday season 2 likely cast
Major spoilers follow for Wednesday season 1.
There’s no official confirmation of cast for Wednesday season 2, but here’s who we think we’ll see again. Our predictions are based on how season 1 ended, if its follow-up is also set at Nevermore Academy, and whether season 2 will pick up plot threads from its forebear:
Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams
Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams
Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams
Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair
Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin
Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay
Percy Hynes White as Xavier Thorpe
Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams
Victor Dorobantu as The Thing
Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester
George Burcea as Lurch
Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Otinger
The biggest season 2 casting news so far is the impending arrival of another potentially interesting individual. In a Wednesday-based video at Netflix Tudum 2023, Ortega, Myers, Sunday, and Doohan confirmed another member of the Addams Family would feature in season 2.
While the identity of this new character is being kept firmly under wraps, Ortega said she’d love to see Cousin Itt appear, while the rest of the gang want Grandmama to show up. Here’s hoping we get some new cast details when filming begins.
Wednesday season 2 story speculation
Full story spoilers follow for Wednesday season 1.
The Wednesday season 2 plot remains a secret for now. All we have so far are predictions and theories, which the cast members discussed during Netflix Tudum 2023.
So, what are said theories? For one, there’s talk of Crackstone’s ring falling to the ground following his apparent defeat in the season 1 finale. A poignant moment captured and shown to viewers perhaps hint at someone else retrieving the ring and possessing his powers, though it’s unclear who this might be.
Then there’s the downfall of Miss Thornhill, aka Laurel Gates (Christina Ricci), who was revealed to be the person responsible for controlling the Hyde monster. Who is the Hyde in question? None other than Tyler, one of Wednesday’s love interests.
Given the Hyde master has control over Tyler and that, when Wednesday’s car passed Tyler’s prison vehicle, it triggered him to take his Hyde form, fans believe Wednesday is now in possession of Thornhill’s abilities. Teasing this potential link further, Ortega says it would be fun to see Wednesday have a pet. The plot thickens…

Elsewhere, Professor Weems (Gwendoline Christie), the shape-shifting Principal of Nevermore Academy, was seemingly killed in season 1 – but you can never be too sure with these things. Indeed, eagle-eyed viewers noted that when Lurch, The Addams Family butler, is driving Wednesday home for school break in season 1 episode 8, he had a different eye color than earlier in the season. Is this really Weems in disguise? Who knows, but we can’t wait to find out if this is one theory we correctly called well ahead of Wednesday season 2’s release.
There are plenty of other subplots that season 2 could and most probably will lean into. That includes Wednesday receiving threatening texts, Nevermore Academy being without a Principal following Weems’ alleged death, Gates’ fate being left up in the air, the fallout from Xavier’s incorrect imprisonment in episode 7 (and subsequent release in the finale), and more.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Ortega also gave her opinion on Wednesday’s potential evolution heading into next season. “I kind of want her to be darker,” she teased. “I want her to get more into the nitty-gritty of things, not play things so safe… I want to continue down an antihero stream, rather than a typical hero”. Watch this space, then.
Wednesday season 2 trailer: is there one?
Nope. There won’t be one for a long time, either. We’ll update this guide once one is finally unveiled.
Where to watch Wednesday season 1
Wednesday is among Netflix’s most impressive TV originals. That means all eight episodes of Wednesday season 1 are exclusive to the world’s best streaming service.
Despite rumors that the show could shockingly move to Prime Video after Amazon‘s acquisition of MGM (the latter being one of Wednesday’s many production companies), IndieWire confirmed Netflix would remain the home of Wednesday for season 2 and beyond. Speaking of which…
Will Wednesday get a third season on Netflix?
It feels a little premature to say a third season is on the way, but we’d be surprised if Wednesday season 2 is the end of the line.
Season 3 sounds incredibly likely, too, with peaking to , showrunner Miles Millar telling Variety: “For us, it’s always looking at the future, and when we sit down to create a show, it’s looking at multiple seasons, ideally. That’s never expected, but that’s the anticipation that hopefully the show is successful. So you always lay out at least three or four seasons’ worth of potential storylines for the characters.”
Three or four seasons? Don’t mind if we do. And we’re sure Netflix will duly oblige with running with that plan, especially if Wednesday season 2 is as big (if not bigger) than its predecessor. And, with Bloomberg reporting that a Wednesday spin-off is tentatively in development at Netflix, we might have even more Addams Family shenanigans to enjoy further down the line.
