[ad_1]

The use of Microsoft OneNote documents to distribute malware to unsuspecting users is picking up pace, cybersecurity researchers from Proofpoint have claimed.

OneNote is Microsoft’s digital note-taking app, which comes as part of the Office productivity suite. As such, cybercriminals can assume that most of their victims already have the app installed on their endpoints

A known cryptocurrency fraud which leverages fake trading apps to trick people into giving away their hard-earned money made it past Apple’s strict security protocols and into its mobile app repository, researchers have warned.

Apple has been alerted to the presence and quickly moved to eliminate the threats from the App Store – still, if you have downloaded these apps, make sure to remove them from your endpoints (opens in new tab) immediately.

[ad_1]

IT leaders are fearful that ChatGPT, the instantly famous AI-powered chatbot, is already being used by state-sponsored threat actors when crafting cyberattacks.

A report from BlackBerry, which polled 500 IT decision-makers in the UK on their views of the revolutionary tech, found over three-quarters (76%) believe foreign states are already using ChatGPT in their cyber-warfare campaigns against other nations. Ninja Speedi on work surface next to parsley
Heard of the Ninja Speedi?

[ad_1]

Today, I attended the unveiling of the Ninja Speedi at the brand’s (very cool) new office in London. It’s due to launch in the UK next week but for our US readers, it’s already available for you to buy.

I’m writing this all down for you to read because this is a revolutionary home appliance. One that can cook you a meal in 15 minutes. You can use a variety of ingredients; from meats and cheeses to veg and rice, and put them all into the same pot.

It’s the first small appliance to launch after the success of some of the best air fryers I’ve ever seen. The Ninja Speedi is sure to disrupt our countertop and the way we do dinner. But what’s it really capable of?

When I saw the Ninja Speedi in action, pasta, broccoli and crème fraiche was added into the pot. Water was then added. At this point I didn’t know what to expect. The Cook & Crisp tray was then added and four crumb coated chicken breasts were placed on top. The lid was put down, some buttons were pressed and the timer started counting down from 15 minutes.

This new Overwatch 2 map may be awful for Mei but it’s great for us

[ad_1]

It’s no secret that the big addition in Overwatch 2 Season 3 would be a map. Blizzard made clear that each season would bring with it a big piece of content, alternating between a new hero and a new map. Last season brought Ramattra, so a map was on the menu for Season 3. However, in an interview with Blizzard’s dev team, we found out some exciting details buried within this icy tundra.

The new mode, named Antarctica Peninsula, can be found on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, closest to the southernmost part of South America. Here, the Overwatch 2 hero Mei, a climatologist, set out to research the effects of global warming on the ice caps.

PS5 update means the console is catching up with Xbox Series X framerates

[ad_1]

Sony has released a new beta update for the PS5 that finally brings Variable Refresh Rate to 1440p resolution on the console, and you can even apply it to ‘unsupported games’.

While some of the best PS5 games can achieve 120 fps at 4K resolutions, they’re in the minority. After this update, many more will be able to hit that framerate while playing at 1440p. VRR, which dynamically scales the rendering resolution to prioritize framerate in the target resolution, was previously only available in 4K on the console.

[ad_1]

A recent PwC report (opens in new tab) has found that many businesses are still struggling to get to grips with the cloud despite adoption being reasonably high.

The company’s latest Cloud Business Survey found that almost eight in 10 (78%) business executives had adopted the cloud in almost all parts of their business. However, they’re still struggling to realize results.
